Check for mono recordings. I thought that maybe the vinyl needed cleaning but the same happened on my new zealand 1976 pressing of abbey road which is pretty much pristine. The record was published with catalogue number pcs 7088. So 383 abbey road 1969 40 00 with capitol logo on side 2 bottom.
